Taming my guinea pig

I have two, one month-old guinea pigs.  They are very skittish when I feed them or try to hold them.  What can I do to tame them, or to stop making them afraid of me?

Hi Sara.  Try offering them their favorite treat at the front of the cage (if they grab it and take it to the back of the cage that's fine).  Leave the cage door open, keep an eye on them, but don't scare them.  Let them eat up. Do this for a few days, then only let them have it as they eat it out of your hand at the front of the cage, with the door open.  Then only let them have it when you are holding them.  This should do the trick.  Remember, it will take time.  They are still babies.
