Fur Loss

Hi, I just purchased two (I think) female piggies from the pet store. While bathing them today i found on one piggies knee a purplish close to black looking thing it looked like it was chaffing somewhat. And on the other piggys side i foung what i thought was a bump because its raised but it just looked black and scaly. of course on both of these areas on either piggy there was no fur. i am in deep despair as i have fallen n love with both. please help.

Its very hard for me to say what this might be but I suspect that because both pigs have the similar problem that you might be dealing with mites.

This can be easily treated with Ivermectin at the vets. If mites is the problem there is no reason to worry.
