Answer
For the first guinea pig did you hand feed her during her illness? If she doesn't get nourishment generally they don't improve. The best thing for your guinea pig is a good diet and fresh fruits and veggies evertday. probably one third of a cup a day is good. Unlimited amounts of fresh timothy hay and lots of love make for a happy guinea pig. You could buy another guinea pig that is young. You will want to keep the new guinea pig away from the older one for 3 weeks to make sure that she is healthy. Then in an open room place both guinea pigs in the room and see how well they do. Put some timothy hay in the room and see how they interact. If they get along well you can place them in the cleaned out, bigger cage you have for them.  Guinea pigs are happier with other guinea pigs.
