dying guinea?

Question
my guinea pig is 1-2 years old his health has recently declined rapidly. When i got him from the cage he didn't run around when the does usually. He let me pick him up. i kept him in the house all day so he could be warm at gave him water. He wont eat and cant fully open his eyes. He doesn't respond to me and breathes quicker then normal.

He hasn't pooed today which is unusual

Emergency vets cost a fortune and i just don't have the money.

If hes alive and still ill tomorrow i'll take him to the vet on the bus but is there anything i can do? do you think he'll die?

Thanks

Answer
Hi Rosie.  It's not sounding good to me and as much as i can understand why you want to avoid seeing a vet i would strongly advise you to see one.  Your piggy isn't sounding too well; the fact that his eyes aren't bright and open like normal, he doesn't want to eat, there's no droppings, his breathing is quick and the way that he's not as lively are very alarming symptoms.  He definitely needs veterinary attention.  Let me know how you get on.
