my piggy is not eating

Question
He is 31/2 years old and so far healthy pig. 3-4 days ago he started eating less.  Now he eats almost nothing.  He is alert and comes out of his house sometimes if called, but not as often.  He drinks water (so I started giving him vitamins in that) and gets excited about the smell of a new veggie, but does not nibbles more than a couple of times before stopping.   He is still friendly and interested but getting pretty skinny. I checked and he is not backed up (per your suggestion to an earlier question)  I will see the vet on Saturday (3 days) but how do I keep him alive 'till then.  How do I feed him? What do I feed him?  Thanks for all the good advice.

Answer
Hi Kati

My pig has recently had something similar and it turned out he was a little cold. However, you could consider feeding your pig via syringe with a mashed up version of his try food and/or mashed veggies as he needs to keep his strength up.

Good luck
