Question
Hi,
I have a female guinea pig and a male guinea pig and i have already bred my female and she was under 10 mouths but this time she is about 12 months old is this ok or will she dye
Thanks Brianna

Answer
Hi Brianna,

It is recommended that a guinea pig is under 6 months old when she first gives birth. However, she can have babies after this first time until she is about three years old, so don't worry. Please be aware that breeding a female shortens her life expectency, so if your female is a beloved pet, you may want to stop after this litter.

If you need any advice about the pregnancy, birth, or babies ... just ask!

Jenny.
