Question
Hi,
I have a sow that had a female baby and it died because she didn't have the strenth to open the sack, it's been a week now since shes had the baby, she was living with a female guinea pig befor the baby was born, my question is should I put the female back with the sow? If not now when? Thanks for your time! -Ali

Answer
Hi Ali.  If your sow appears to be healthy and acting normal, I would put the other one back in there.  Sometimes leaving the females together helps with babies (because the other female will help open the sac sometimes).  If you put them back together and they are aggressive towards each other for longer than a few minutes I would remove them again and give her more time.  Honestly, I would think they would be fine together.
Hope this helps!
