biting/pregnancy?

Question
I just got my first gp about a week ago and I want to ask some questions to ease my mind and make it a better experience for my gp and I. I was told she/he was about 4 1/2 - 5 weeks old. I assumed my gp was a female when I looked online and tried to determine the sex.......well now I feel I may just be right and I am wondering if she is pregnant !! She has a round belly (unless she is just getting fat from eating..lol), I can see nipples on her belly and she don't much care for her belly being touched. Is this even possible at a young age ??? ( she was in a cage with all her siblings still when I got her) And I also feel I have had a little problem bonding with her. She will lay on my shoulder or chest and let me pet her but she don't like being moved, picked up, etc. She even bites my fingers (she did this the first time I held her but I wasn't to concerned at that point) Why is she biting and how do I stop it ?? I really love her and was excited about getting her but now I am just lost on what to do and find myself searching the Internet and not finding the answers to put my mind at ease.....lol

Sorry this is soooo long !! I just really want to do thinks right and bond with my gp :-)

Thanks~~Carissa

Answer
Hi

It is possible for your pig to be pregnant. The best thing to do is weigh her each day to see if there is any marked weight gain.

Regarding the biting, does she do it all the time or just after a while of being petted? It may be she needs a pee!

It also may be that she is irritable being held if she is pregnant.
