purring...

Question
why does my guinea pig (ANNIE)purr everytime I hold her sister and put her back down next to each other .. and she also gets really hyper and jumps and hops allot!! im afraid she might hurt herself she still a baby (about 3-4 weeks old)
ALSO i have another guinea pig(EMILY) she always wants to be alone and do her own thing but on the other hand annie is very social ? how can i get emily to trust me more

When Annie jumps around it means she is in high spirits, have you checked they are both girls because Annie may be purring because Emily is a boy or the other way round.
To get Emily to trust you more you could sing to her a special song(the same one) so she can get used to the sound of your voice. Spend time talking to her.
