Hunched over guniea pig

Hi, Last week I noticed itchy was hunching into a ball. She has gradually slowed down and sits just looking out the cage. She has also slowed down eating and doesn't look very happy. What might be wrong? thanks

Hi Ceale,

Itchy is depressed and very much so. Give her extra attention and love, along with a few toys in her cage and some floor time for an hour with toys to play with. That'll pick up her spirits and she'll snap out of the depression in a week or so. She'll need the extra attention to help keep her from getting depressed again.
