spraying (again!)

Question
My guinea pig is spraying again but we don't think that she is on heat because we think she is pregnant. She has two cage mates and is always spraying at them both, usualy when they brush against her she starts to chatter and squeel very loudly and she starts jumping around on her back legs and if they don't leave she sprays them, I have been sprayed a few times when I clean the cage and have to put them in a box, the cage mates are one boy and one girl. She has always been very skittish and timid she is about 7 monthes old by now and about 1 month pregnant, is this normal for her to be acting that way because my other guinea pig is pregnant too and is almost a month pregnant, she is still pretty good (she doesn't spray) she's acting the way I think she should be (she acts a bit wierd if her tummy is touched and she likes her space) but she is only around 5 months old. The one that is spraying isn't too old is she? because the internet said try not to breed them after around 7 months so that they have thier pups when they're 10 months old.
thanks again Natalie.

Answer
Hello Natalie,

It sounds like it's normal for her, especially if she does it while she's in heat too. She just doesn't want to be touched by the other piggies. Keep an eye out for any other signs of illness or pain, but she's most likely fine. They need to be breed before they are 9 months old. They must deliver their pups before their first birthday. The reccommended breeding age is between 5 and 7 months, so she's the perfect age for being pregnant. Good luck with delievery and you may want to go ahead and remove the male if they are 1 month along.
