Answer
Hiya
Im so pleased to hear that your lil guinea pig is on the move (sorta) But i do beleive he is an improvement. Without going to see the vet, have a look in the phonebook or go on google and have a look if the medicine yur are giving ur pig is ok just to be on the safe side! Lying on his side is not normal i am affraid to say. Its good his nose and eyes are getting better though. The very good thing is that he is drinking fluids as piggies can become ill through dehydration as well s their sickness when poorly. So if he is drinking thats good. I do beleive he is on the mend so please do not worry!! However do keep a strict eye on him!! Plus if he has the trots, i suggest whiping his bottom for him every 2 hours just to get them awkward poops flowing normally and plus it will be a way of cleaning his bottom after releasing a load of diarrea. But please do check on him often. Keep him warm but not uncomfortably warm as this shall give him a fever. If he is panting for air open a window or something. Does he live indoors or out? If it is outdoors he may have a flu bug which can affect the knows eyes and stomach. If he lives inside he may be suffering from being too hot and he cant escape the heat and has got a fever. once again please do keep writing back!!! Thank you for replying. The name of the medicine i told you to get for him is ... buscopan (available at all chemists) or dioralyte in water also from chemists. Keep writing back im not going to let this pig die, im going to do all i can to help him to recover. How old is he? (this happening may be old age)
