sick-dead gp

Our class gp died last night. She was having seizures jerking movements. Would rest quietly when I held her but after a few minutes would start all over again. She died within 4 hours of us finding her in cage jerking. What would have been the cause of her death. Could she have been poisoned or could she have been dropped. No one was coping to it.

There are many reasons why seizures could happen, epilepsy or a brain problem that hadn't been noticed. Without having a necropsy(autopsy for animals) it's going to be hard to know exactly how your guinea pig died. I am so sorry that she died. It is possible it could have been poisoned or dropped and that could have caused brain problems.
