Question
What are the signs of labor and delivery so I can be watching for that?

How long does the babies have to stay with the mother after they are born?

Answer
Hello Heather

It is hard to tell when guinea-pigs are about to give birth even if there only a few hours from giving birth there is one sign I have noticed thou and that is they are in there hiding place and dont want to come out, not every guinea-pig will do this but most of mine did. The pups are weaned at four weeks of age, but I like to wean them at four weeks then keep them for another week just to be sure they are doing good on there own before sending them to there new homes.
