Interaction with dogs

Question
We just inherited a guinea pig and we have a little dog.  What is the interaction between dogs and guinea pigs.  Also, what signs should we look for in our dog that warn us that this might not work?

Dods are meat eaters and can sometimes attack small rodents without warning!

I don't have a dog so I cannot tell you what they will try to do. If I were you I would keeo your doggie away from your guinea pig.
Smaller dogs were once used to kill the rodents in or around homes. So it is an instinct for the dog to try to hurt your guinea pig
