Bathing/life span and handling

How do you bath a guinea pig? How offen can I bath my guinea pig? How long do they live? Can I handle my pregnant sow?

Hi,
I bath my guinea pigs in a small tub with small animal shampoo. You can use a small container to pour water over it, be careful not to get it's eyes too much. After it is washed, dry it with a towel. You can use a hair dryer as well, but most guinea pigs will become terrified.
Bath your guinea pig whenever it gets really dirty, not too often though. I used to bath my guinea pigs once a month, you can do it even less than that.
A guinea pig will usually live to be 4 to 8 years old. Sometimes they live longer and sometimes they live shorter then that. Four to eight years is just an average of how long guinea pigs live.
You CAN handle the pregnant sow but very gently, don't stress her out and don't hold her for long periods of time.
If she seems distressed, let her rest.
