Guinea pigs with allergies

Hi! I was just wondering if it is possible for guinea pigs to have life long allergies. My little pig Sierra has had a runny eye ever since she was given to me. However, she is healthy other wise and seems happy. Is this just a little lifelong allergy. Oh, and what is the best bedding to use. I currently use pine. Thanks! I hope to hear from you soon.

Some people say that pine bedding is bad for piggies due to the oils contained. This may also explain the runny eye as I have never heard of alergies in piggies before.

See if a change of bedding helps and if not let me know and we will re-evaluate things.
