Question
Hi, my guinea pig, Jennifer, has had 4 babies yesterday.
I would like to know the risk of the mother killing her babies if you pick them up to a lot. also how long I should wait till we can pick them up.
Any other tips would be very helpful as well.

Answer
Dear Haley,
A mother guinea pig will not kill her babies(only hamsters do that.)
I think you should wait a least a day before you start holding your babies.
It will let them get used to their home and their mother.
Hope you and your new arrivals are very happy.
