loss of fur

my guinea pig has a spot, where i suspect there is hair loss. it still has quite a bit of hair, but not as much as there usually is. what is wrong, and what should i do?

i would take him to a vet just to make sure he's healthy. what type of bedding are you using? if the skin looks healthy and not scaley or flakey then he may be have a skin irritation due to bedding, wood shavings aren't good for guinea pigs because of the dust produced. does your guinea pg get any extra vitamins, like vitam drops in their water. I recommend them for any small animal.
