Question
ok i just got my little guinea named harry last week and i have not noticed him coughing or sneezing at all until today, he also is "talking" alot more today then any other day. being a new guinea parent i know i can be overly concerned. and to keep from you needing ask questions about his bedding i am using a shredded paper, and hay. i am giving him dry food along with fresh veggies, and i have not given him a bath.

Answer
All pigs will occasionally do what sounds like little choking noises but is is nothing more than clearing the throat, much as we do as well.

Talking is a good sign. He's settling in and may just be a chatty charlie. It sounds to me like he's a healthy pig and is happy with his surroundings. He may also be paying attention to the fact that when you come to his cage you sometimes bring veggies. They learn the sound of the refrigerator door and a plastic bag when you bring a carrot.

He doesn't need a bath. He sounds to me like a happy guy with a new mom that's worrying a bit more than necessary.
