Question
Well my guinea pig is four years old and the hair color is changing on it. He is
also dragging his legs and biting on them. His nails used to be quite long and
since he has been biting them they are really short. Also, he gets his poop stuck
in his butt often. He usually jumps out of his cage when i change it, but now i
have to take it out and he is getting very inactive. please help me!

Answer
Hi Rachel
the poo in his bum is caused by the muscles being too weak to expel the poo - it is called anal impaction and usually affect older boys like yours.
You will have to clear it yourself if you cannot get him to a vet.
You will need some cotton wool balls, latex gloves, vaseline, a bowl of warm water and someone to hold him steady.
Carefully open the anus so you can see the poo that is stuck.
Using you little finger, prise away any poo you can see.
It will STINK LIKE HELL so be ready for that.
You will need to clear any poo away, it might be thick and in a ball shape.
Your pig will not like it so be gentle.
When you have cleared as much poo as poss, wipe the area with a soaked cotton wool ball, and then carefully smear some vaseline in and around the piggies anus to help with the next poops that form.
Its a  horrible job but you CAN do it yourself.
As for the legs problem I cannot help you with that as I dont know.
Hope all goes well with the poo clearing tho.
