sick buster

Our young guinea( buster) is not doing well. He has lost lots of weight, muffly sounding breaths, and won't drink. He won't eat his pellets but will eat his salad. What could be wrong? Is there ne over the counter meds we can get him before tomorrow?

Hi,
 You should get him a medication and ask the vet what he might have. This is not good if he is not drinking or breathing so you should contact your vet now. What will help is to mash his food up and add a little bit of water. Use an dropper and put his food in to it, then feed it to him and if you have to, force feed. Do the same with the water as you did with the food. You should take him to the vet soon. I hope this helps and don't hesitate to ask me another question.
