menstruation

Question
I'm pretty sure my 2 month old guinea pig is a female (although not positive) and noticed that she wasn't eating or drinking at all today. When I took her out of her cage after work, there was very sticky and clear stuff coming out of her vagina. Could this possibly be her menstrating? Why isn't she eating.

The vaginal discharge does need vetinary assessment as it indicates either a urinary tract infection or problems with a pregnancy. I'm presuming the first will be more likely.

Either way, please consult your vet asap as if she is sick, this is why she is off her food.
