Question
Hi,  I have two males, one that is over a year old, and the second that is under a year old.  I had the older one first for about 3 months before we got the younger one, but I am not sure how old the first piggy is, but he isn't old.  We got him from a pet store that someone dropped off because they couldn't care for him.  I guess what is considered "normal" happened when introducing the older one to the younger one at first, but we had them together since October and the older one still bites the younger one.  It is never vice versa.  I've had two water bottles, big bowls of pellets and fresh veggies, and one hay wheel.  I am down to one water bottle now due to leakage.  They always share everything without a problem,, except for the hay the bigger one gets alittle greedy and chases the younger away.  When we bathe them we noticed give or take 10 scabs on the shoulder blade area and on the behind of the younger one, and just the other day I found i big one on the front leg and I clearly noticed the blood on his coat that I cleaned up.  Is there any way these two will live in peace?  Most of the time they share and get along fine, but the bigger guy never seems to warm up to the point where they can sit or stay directly next to eachother without chattering and making noise and the occasional chase.  There is rarely a big brawl or fight though...Maybe becuase the bigger one established dominanc e I am not sure.  Is one hay wheel and one water bottle really the problem?  Cause it seems to me the big one just wants what he wants regardless if they are by wodd or not...any help would be appreciated.

Answer
Hi Bill

I have had a similar problem recently. If it is getting to they stage where blood is being drawn, you really need to bite the bullet and separate them or serious injury could occur.

You could try giving them one of everything each but I cant guarantee this will make a difference.
