Diet and pregnant piggy

Question
I am curious to know if you can feed guinea pigs oats, like the ones used to make no bake cookies, and if it's a nutritional treat for the guinea pig.

I just bought a piggy almost a week ago and she is pregnant. I am not sure how far along she is. I can feel and see the pups move on her sides. Is there any way to guess when the pups will be born? I didn't know if she would produce milk before she goes into labor or if there was something else that would hint towards labor in a few days.

Answer
You can theoretically, but they are very fattening and shouldn't be fed daily.

Pregnant sows need alfalfa hay and/or alfalfa based pellets in addition to their timothy hay and a cup of veggies every day. A piece of fruit is a better treat, or a small carrot.

If you can feel the babies kicking, it should be within the next week or so.

I would read up here:

Read over the diet into there too.

Her milk should come in soon after the babies are born. Weigh the babies daily to make sure they are eating ok. They should be eating hard foods on their own soon after too.
