Question
QUESTION: do guinea pigs lose their hair more when they are just babies as in like 10 weeks old and when they get older will it come in thicker.

ANSWER: I have never known a guinea to start losing a lot of fur at that age. I know they constantly shed a little bit, but if they are losing a lot of fur than something may be wrong a vet should look at the piggie.

QUESTION: what is normal shedding for a guinea pig?
ANSWER: when you pet them are tuffs of hair coming out and you are seeing bald spots? Guinea pigs normally don't thin their fur out until they are older. It's kinda hard to say exactly what is normal shedding. Normal shedding is generally where the guinea pig is not having tuffs of hair constantly fall out and you're not seeing bald spots.

QUESTION: she was in a cage with bigger guinea pigs from the litter and she was much smaller than the others and the others were picking on her and pulling her hair out so they seperated her from the others and now she has bald spots on her....

Answer
Ahh,, she was the runt of the litter. It sounds like she was really stressed out from being picked on and she probably didn't get enough nutrition from the mom with all the other piggies fighting over milk.  I would personally consider buying some vitamin drops for your guinea pig to give to her in her water. I prefer Oasis vitamin drops and it seems to really help out the piggie. Her fur should go back one she calms down and stops being so stressed. :) :)
