I have my other piggy and I continue to play with him, although we are still sadden about our other piggy passing.I want to give him another playmate, but he is about-2year(s)old,is giving him a younger mate, like 5-6weeks old,ok? Please help me,I do want my piggy social again.

a lot of times guinea pigs do better with younger piggies.the first thing you should do is buy the new guinea pig a cage and quarantine the guinea pig for 2 weeks in a different room away from the older guinea pig. you just want to make sure that the guinea pig isn't sick or anything. Then after two weeks place both guinea pigs in an open room, but be sure to watch them. You can place some food and timothy in the middle of the room and see how they do sharing and playing. If you notice aggression immediently take the agressive guinea pig away for a while and then you can try again, but if they fight again you will need to keep them seperated. If the two guinea pigs get along you clean out the bigger cage that you have for them and place them in the cage. Make sure to watch them so they won't fight.

at petsmart it's only for three days to see if any obvious sickness is there. you will still need to quarantine the piggy when you get home. the quarantine also helps him adjust to his new home and relieve some stress.

actually it is normal. the older one is establishing his territory and letting the other one know who is dominant.

Answer
a guinea pig shouldn't have crust around his eyes constantly, they should be clean and clear of discharge. having crust around his eyes could mean he's having respiratory problems or he could have something wrong with his eye. the baby one should have a hearty appetite, always eating to keep the food going through his system. he may be young but you should monitor his weight with a small scale and make sure he is in the healthy range and not losing weight. all the guinea pigs that I know eat a lot of food as they get older, when they are young and brought into a new setting they may not eat much because they are stressed out a little bit.
