Question
for the last few days my female piggie let's out a high pitched squeal when she is going to pooh, as she's trying to go. it looks normal, no diarrhea, she eats her veggies and pellets fine, could she need more fiber?

Answer
Hello!
As for what you say, they are normal little pellets but be on the look out for odd poos. Check their poops daily (as emabarrising as that sounds) to make sure your guinea pig doesn't have diarrhoea. If they are just abit soft but not runny or misshapen, I usually cut back on their green foods for a few hours and they normally go back to normal. Poops should look like a jelly-bean, un-neutered boars poops tend to be more curved than sows. Take your piggy to the vets straight away if they are runny/smelly, they can become dehydrated very quickly.
I say take her to the vet and see if he can give you medicine for a UTI. See if there is blockage around the private parts and anus. A small cut from a pianful poopoo could even have done this so wiat it out for a few more days.
