Guinea pig bonding

Question
Hello,
I have 3 male guinea pigs and i use to have two bonded but they fought a tiny bit so i seperated them. now that i have got my third i want to try to re-introduce them as well as the new guinea pig. I tried today and they rumbled a little then Dexter (boss) started humping Kovu (2nd guinea pig) non- stop. He didn't even bother Reese (third guinea pig). is that normal? will it stop? i'm not sure if they will get along but there was no teeth chattering just a rumble strut and humping between 2 of the pigs. Any advice? i have a 2x5 C&C cage so its pretty big. please let me know of any advice or tips and if the continuous humping will end. (its gross combing out the guinea pig sperm)

Answer
The humping is a dominance thing, not a sexual behavior. It's very often impossible to introduce a third pig to a male cage. If the new pig is a baby it's generally accepted by the resident male. If the new one is over two or three months it becomes a rival.

Watch them closely. If there is teeth chattering someone is going to get hurt. You may be lucky enough to get the three of them to cohabit without issue, but that's a chance you're taking.

And I assume to know for sure the new pig is a boar?  If he is then yes, the humping will stop when Dexter realizes it's useless.
