Holding and cuddling

I just got my first guinea pig. How should I hold her? She normally bites me when I pick her up, so I take it I am holding her wrong. Are they very scared of cats? I have three and I am worried about if she is scared or not. I know she won't get hurt though because she is in her cage. Thank you for taking the time to read and answer this!

To hold your piggy you should have 1 hand supporting her bottom and one under her front legs.

She might also be biting you because she is new to the environment.

Cats are predators and piggies are prey animals, so yes they are scared and they must be kept apart.
