guinea pigs life span

We have a 3.5 year old American guinea pig. Lately he has been listless and keeps to himself. I want to know what the life-span of most guinea pigs?

And Yes, I am going to bring him back to the
Vet today.

A guinea pigs lifespan is around 4-8 years. If the guinea pig has lived a well taken care of life they usually like about 6-8 years more likely.

Good for you for taking the guine apig to the vet. That is a great idea to ensure that he gets checked up on to ensure nothing is the matter.
