EMERGENCY!

Question
Please help me! I've been on the phone with 4 vets trying to find someone who can help my guinea pig tonight (it's 9pm) and I can't find anyone but still trying...
He was perfectly fine and normal this morning. We had him out for play time and he was great.

I got home tonight around 8 and went to visit him and he was puffed and hunched, eyes half closed. I took him out and he appeared to be drooling and had brown liquid along his bottom lip.

While talking to vets I was also researching online. I was trying to massage his abdomen but whenever I try he spits up. I also tried syringing some water into his mouth but he spit up. I have no idea what else to try but I'll keep calling vets. Is there anything I can do in the mean time?

I am so sorry to bother you, and I wouldn't do this unless an extreme emergency...I just don't know what else to do.

Answer
I'm so sorry to hear this Lisa. Your pig is extremely ill. I know you really want more comfort than I can give you, but this is a grave situation that even your vet will be unlikely to fix. What you are describing to me is a dying pig. Honey I'm so very sorry I can't give you more hope, but I would not be giving you the truth if I made up some story or remedy for what you are dealing with. Please forgive me for not being able to offer you more.
