male pig smell

I keep hearing people talk about boars having a bad smell about them. I have a six month old boar and he has no smell at all! So what's up with these other 'smelly' boars? Is this something that only older boars have?

Sometimes males drag their bottom (where their scent glands are) on the floor to mark their territory, espcially when other males are around, this is quite smelly.

Some males dont do this either because there are no other males around or because they dont feed the need to mark their territory. Either way its completely normal.
