My guinea isnt eating her pellets

Question
I just got a guinea pig a little over a month ago. At first she was very shy and wouldn't eat so i had to hand feed her for about 2 days to teach her to eat hay, water, and pellets.  She enjoys romaine lettuce and carrots but is very picky with her pellets.  She will only eat the little green, orange, and corn pieces in her food.  I have tried 3 kinds of food including the kind she was fed at the store, vita vittles, and harts brand.  I'm worried she's not eating enough of her pellets and is too skinny so what should i do?

Answer
Hi Rachael

If your pig is eating veggies ok then we can probably rule out any health problems.

I would recommend that when the untouched pellets are the only ones left, dont give her any more food and see if she will eat them when that is all she has for a few hours.

Let me know if that works.
