Question
what is the best way to dispose of a dead guinea pig carcass

Answer
This is a difficult thing for pet owners to have to do, but something that we all sooner or later must face.

You can bury your pig in the ground. The best way to do this is to dig a hole at least 18 in deep if you're able. Do not put the carcass in a plastic bag. Lay him in the ground just the way he is. By doing that the body will decompose and will return to the ground, ashes to ashes and dust to dust.

If you like you can put your pet in your garden if you have a spot. Once buried, plant something over the top of the site. Perhaps a miniature rose bush. That way the body not only nourishes the roses as it decomposes, but you have a living memory of your pet.
