-----Question-----
Hiya Lauren, firstly thankyou for the advise I recieve, the question Id like to have answered is?, the other day, I noticed her eye was watery and changing colour!, so on the advise of a breeder, I used some optrex, bathed it... and found in the process a piece of hay stuck around the eye, possibly inside, "which I removed".... her eye does now seem better!, (but as her eye is now, blue in colour and cloudy), will her eye get better? or will it stay the that colour, instead of the normal red?.
Many thanks Lauren.

Su
-----Answer-----
It may be permanently damaged as the hay may have scratched the cornea.  If you see any yellow or green discharge coming from the eye it's infected and will need antibiotics.  You may also want to take her to the vet just to make sure you got everything out and it's not infected.

Good luck, and let me know if I can help with anything else,

Lauren

Hiya Lauren!!

Many thank's for your reply, its much appreciated, we have bathed the eye with optrex since this Saturday, and it seem's there has been a marked improvement, the eye socket is now back to its normal size, there is'nt any discharge, and the eye itself seem's more settled, although the colour of the cornea is still a clouded colour, would you still advise the vet?, or carry on with the bathing?.
Your advise is much apprectiated.

Answer
It may be best to call the vet (rather than go in) and explain what happened and the treatment you've been giving.  That way, if they think it'd be possible to restore vision or you just want to check and make sure it's not infected, they can tell you if it'd be worth coming in.  Until then, keep it clean and rinsed and keep an eye out for any redness.
