Answer
Sadly this is one of the most difficult things about breeding cavies. There is almost always at least one that is too weak to survive. The mother will not attempt to help it. Nature has built a maternal instinct into animals that makes them not risk the health of the strong babies by trying to save a weak one.

The baby will not survive very long. The best thing to do is pray that it passes quickly and doesn't suffer. I am so very sorry and know how you feel.  It happens all too frequently.
