ANSWER: Stef,
I'm not sure of what you mean my small eyes that go into his head, a picture would be great, and as long as he stays the same pig as he was a while ago, he should be fine!

With impaction, you can use mineral oil and clean the outside and opening of the sac, then you can 'squeeze it out' with your index finger and thumb. You can go on guinealynx.com to read more instructions of impaction and easy ways to do it, what it looks like when impacted too!

--cerian, hope this helped! Good luck with you and your piggie Gizmo, feel free to ask anymore questions.

QUESTION: hi thank you for your help is the cleaning out the impaction vital because it sounds really hard and complicated. n i am a young guinea pig owner. i hav another question aswell what does it mean by crusty eyes, like wht spercificly. thank you for all your help.

Answer
Stefy,
Sorry for the late reply, I have been quite busy during the holidays!

Impaction cleaning IS vital for the health of the pig, although thats only if you're sure your pig is not eating its own droppings. Guinea pigs need to eat their own poop since the poop still has needed vitamins, once you clean it out, if your pig wants to eat the poop, let him eat it! Crusty eyes normally mean when there is discharge around the eye, it's normally white or yellow in color, it feels rough or sticky.
