pregnant guinea pig

Hi Molly,
     I bougth a female gp from a pet store on 4/30 She had been in the store for about 7-10 days.Well to my surprize she is pregnant.She is really big when she lays down her back legs go to to sides.She has been laying by the water bottle drinking and she is still eating mostly greens and fruit.When she lays down the two side of her belly rest on the floor like a flat tire sometimes I'l see the babies kicking at her sides do you think she almost there I feel so bad for her watching her wooble when she walks.I don't know if she was already pregnant when the store got her. I thought I noticed her filling out about a week after I got her.I've had her for 51 days not counting the days in the pet store.I called them but they were no help.

so you are asking me if she is close to having the babies. yes she is. remember they can have 1 to 8 babies. make sure that if your not going to keep them all, then you need to find homes for them. you can either give them away ofr sell them a range between $15 to 20 dollars is good. well, it is a good idea to put a heat lamp in her cage, this will help the babies dry off and keep warm. hope this helps. and good luck, baby guinea pigs are always fun!
