Question
Hi

My brother recently dropped my quinea pig from abot his arm height. It was an accident tho. Unfortunately the fall has left her with a scratched mouth and no front teeth.she is eatin tho. Will her teeth ever grown back?

Answer
Hi Paula,

Don't worry, guinea pig grow their teeth back in a little over a week.  As long as she still eats you don't need to do anything, except watch for other possible injuries from the fall.

If she has trouble eating, mix a little water into the pellets so they are softer and easier to pick up.  Don't leave them in the cage over 1/2 a day or they will spoil and make her sick.  If she still has trouble eating, you will need to hand feed her with an infants dosage syringe or plastic eyedropper.  It doesn't sound like you'll have this problem though.

Good luck and don't worry, she will grow the teeth back very quickly.
