Okay. I have a guinea pig that I just bought from the pet store at the end of September. I just built her a two-story cage and i cannot seem to make her go upstairs and explore. It's only been about a week or 2 since the second level has been complete. Will she eventually go up the ramp on her own, you think? She is the only piggy but I plan to get her a friend. Do you have any ideas on how to speed the process up? i've tried a line of treats up the ramp to the 2nd level and that didn't work. I tried putting her up there and making her come down on her own. She just sit up there in her hidey house. So i put some hay (her favorite!!) downstairs to make her go down the ramp on her own and she did but hasn't went back up since. HELP! what can i do?

I had a male pig that never got the hang of the ramp so Sophie may not do, but I would certainly recommend that you carry on the treat/putting her on the ramp technique for an extended period of time.

P.S If you get her a friend and the new pig works it out, Sophie will probably copy her.
