need answers

hi i got home to find that my guinea pig had died he was roughly coming up to about a year he lives oustide in a covered at night two tear hutch with a male rabbit who he got on well with about 1-2 weeks ago he became very noisy and yesterday was stumbling aronud when i changed there food/water. he didn`t have any blood from anywhere and his teeht were of normal size (not overgrown) and i`m puzzled by why this happened if you have any ideas on what could have caused this i wil be very gratful thanks. peter mort

If he was walking to the side and/or laying on his side disorientated then he most likely got kicked by the rabbit either by accident or the rabbit did it on purpose, which then displaced a spinal vertebre and eventually killed him. He could have also gotten kicked in the head or neck by the rabbit. Rabbits often kick out their back legs when the walk or run, or even when they get excited.
