Introducing a new guinea pig.

Question
I have a 5 month old guinea pig (sow) and i felt that although she gets plenty of exercise, she would benefit from having company, so yesterday we got another guinea pig, she is very small around 8 weeks. I introduced them on neutral ground and my original guinea pig gave her a good look over sniffing her etc, i thoroughly cleaned her cage and then placed them both in. Now all seems to be well but my original guinea pig seems to nudge (if the new one is in the feeding bowl she chucks her out) and what looks like mount the new one! She seems to be being very boisterous! Now im not sure if this will be the case while they get used to each other or wether there is a problem. The new guinea seems to hide in the shelter part of the cage and not come out unless i get her out give her a cuddle and put her in a different part of the cage, but it seems everytime she moves my original guinea tries to push her over.

Any suggestions or opinions would be great!

Answer
You would know if there was a real problem! TRUST ME!!
There would be fights and hissing and much more, try giving two separate feed bowls or giving them more time in separate cages. it is all a dominance thing that your original will soon get used to, however it could be the case you introduced them too quickly so the new one feels more inclined to sit back and panic!!!
Give the newby some time in separate run so she gets used to living in her new a home, see if it helps!!
Try putting them on some grass together, see if there is a difference there!
Try everything really, just experiment until you feel your newby is happy!
