guinea pigs: Salt licks and other products

hi i heard a lot about salt licks and how the,re bad for Guinea Pigs but can i give them to my guinea pig in moderation? also are these products safe? harnesses, flea and tick spray and this too my guinea pig was eating this green colour mix food and i could only get an orange colour guinea pig and rabbit mix that looks similar to bird seed and he just tips it everywhere help please?

1) Salt and mineral licks are perfectly fine, and essential to giunea pigs oral health. I suggest putting in one flaver per giunea pig and ridding your brain of all thoughts that they are bad.
2) Harnesses, no. They can cause serious spinal injuries. Flea and tick sprays, they are fine as long as the bottle says 'giunea pig safe' on it.
3) Giunea pigs tend to spill there food alot anyway. I can only suggest buying bigger food so you can pick it up and it is harder to spill.
