Question
hi, i just got my piggy about 5 days ago and when i try lifting it up it makes a kind of wineing/crying sound, shall i just pik i up or see a vet, also my piggy makes a vibrating, purr sound what does the mean?
Thanks :)

Answer
She should be just fine, a lot of pigs when you first get them squeal when being picked up, especially ones that were not held a lot when they were little or handfed. If she starts however crying when she pees, or she ever looks fluffed and is sitting in a corner, then you might have to worry about illness. Purr noises are very good, that means she likes whatever you are doing, this usually happens when you pet a pig on its back, or when they hear a sound that they like. Pigs may also squeal when they hear grocery sacks or produce bags, or pellets being poured into their bowl. Let me know if you have any more questions.
