Question
Why does my little sister's guinea pig squeek and squeel so much. She especially does it when we are eating dinner. She's kept in the kitchen/dining room when most of the action in our house is.

Answer
Hi Lauren.  She may be squeaking for any number of reasons.  If her favorite treat comes out of the fridge and someone opens the fridge she may squeal.  Or if it comes out of plastic bag and someone opens a bag of whatever it would trigger her excitement.  And maybe she just wants attention!  Guinea pigs do like attention every now and then, and if she notices you in the room that could indicate attention.  I know these are a bunch of ifs and thens, but the squealing can mean so many things.
I hope this helps!
