ANSWER: Hi Appu

Can you tell me if the younger piggy has been injured and if you can try to describe the attacks that the older one makes. i can then answer your question better.

QUESTION: Hi Andy
As far as i know the piggy is not hurt.she's moving around without any problems.her name is susy and the elder lucy.lucy kept biting her hind legs thigh and below her mouth.she kept licking or biting i'm not sure as i could not make out.i kept pushing her away but she would push my hand away with her nose and if i pushed her away for long she would leave the cage and run off.i felt that she started to feel bad and hurt.at present they dont fight that much but if both of them are eating the same piece of food lucy starts to take the food away from susy.thanks for the help.

Answer
Hi Appu

Thanks for that information.

Its quite normal for there to be a few scuffles when two piggies meet each other for the first time.

You need to make sure of 2 things.

If you notice any teeth chattering or stamping of the feet then get ready to separate them immediately. also, if any blood is drawn separate them.

In regard to food make sure susy gets some so perhaps add a 2nd bowl.

Let me know how things develop.
