G.Pig cant move back legs

Question
I took my G.P. to the vet's yesterday as she has a fungal infection.  The vet gave Chocolate two injections, one was an anti- hestimene  shot.  The vet also gave me some oral medicine to give orally.

24 hours later Chocolate is unable to use her back legs and is struggling to get around.  Her poo seems fine, she also has a good appetite, her temperature is about 39c.  I took her back to the vet who checked her out physically and said it's probably a reaction to the injections and the stress of taking the medicine and not to worry.

What's your opinion?

Answer
Hi John.  If Chocolate is still paralysed in her back legs as you read this i would get her back to the vet.  I had not really heard of this before so i consulted a Peter Gurney book who says what you can do if your guinea develops it, in respect of a calcium deficiency.  This doesn't really sound the case for Chocolate., happening shortly after her injections.  Now it could be that your vet has caught a nerve, that may return to normal or may not, or it could be stress related.  If her condition is the same, worse or doesn't seem to be improving, see the vet again and calmly demand treatment for it.  I really hope Chocolate does get better very soon, let me know how you go.
