sneezing guinea pig

Question
My male guinea pig who is less than a year old sneezes quite a bit, there are no other signs of illness or anything, no nasal discharge or anything. He eats and drinks normally and runs around and seems to be otherwise very healthy. I'm just wondering if this can be normal or if I should be worried, I also have another pig who is in a different cage and hardly ever sneezes, which is why I'm wondering if his sneezes are normal. Thanks, Megan.

Answer
How long has he been sneezing a lot? It's normal for them to sneeze but if they are sneezing and also having other problems I would take your guinea pig to a vet to get checked out. There may be something in the air that is causing him to sneeze more though. It seems like there is probably something in the air though or maybe his bedding. If it's a wood shaving bedding then I'd switch to soft-sorbent bedding or carefresh bedding. Good luck
