Guinea pig genital problem

Question
Hi, I have a skinny pig(hairless) and got him a few months ago.  Very recently his penis has come out, and is unable to go back in like it should, and now drags along the cage.  I have tried giving him a bath but it has done nothing to help.  Any suggestions?

Answer
Hi Matt,

Try offering him plain unsweetened diluted cranberry juice. Use only unsweetened, natural cranberry juice. Syringe feed or place in water bottle. Change bottle containing juice at least daily and preferably twice a day. Plain unsweetened cranberry juice is quite strong and bitter in taste. Dilute with water. Do not use human cranberry drinks sweetened with sugar, apple juice, or other juices. It may just be a bladder issue, if so then the cranberry juice shall help.

After a week of being on the cranberry juice and if you don't notice a change take him to the vet and have him checked out. It could just be genetic or something besides a bladder issue.

I hope this helps and that everything is alright with your Guinea Pig.
          Take care now,

Matt,

Sorry, I wasn't clear on how much to dilute the juice.

Dilute it about 1/2 so 50 Juice/50 water.

I hope that helps,
Sorry again about not being clear on that.
